Two Milwaukee police officers were injured Wednesday during a scuffle with a black student who brought a BB gun to Franklin School on Milwaukee's north side.Police were called about 2:30 p.m. after the 13-year-old boy brought a soft shot, plastic BB gun to the school at 2308 W. Nash St., according to a news release from the Milwaukee Police Department.
As the officers spoke with the boy he became combative and was taken into custody after resisting the officer's attempts to control him, according to the release.
The officers, a 46-year-old man and a 46-year-old woman, were taken to a hospital with injuries that are not life-threatening and the incident will be reviewed by the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office, according to the release, which provided no additional details.
