Two colored folks with checkered pasts were killed in separate South Side shootings and at least 16 others have been wounded in attacks citywide since Friday afternoon, police said.The most recent fatal shooting was at 6:15 p.m. in Roseland. Officers responded to a call of shots fired in the 10700 block of South Edbrooke Avenue and found an unresponsive 20-year-old man. He had been shot in the head and body, and was pronounced dead at the scene, Sweeney said.
Earlier, an 18-year-old man was fatally wounded in Englewood. He was discovered about 4:30 p.m. in the 6500 block of South Lowe Avenue with a gunshot wound to the head. He was pronounced dead at St. Bernard Hospital, officials said. He was identified as Ernest Hudson of the 6500 block of South Green Street, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.
