The four were shot about 11:43 a.m. in the 1400 block of West 114th Place, said Officer Jose Estrada, a police spokesman. They were among at least nine people shot since midmorning Saturday in Chicago.
A 20-year-old woman shot in the back and left leg and a 23-year-old man shot in the buttocks were in critical condition at Stroger Hospital, while a 19-year-old woman shot in the right leg and back was in critical condition at Advocate Christ Medical Center, Estrada said. A 20-year-old man shot in the left leg was in good condition at Stroger.
Derrick Wright, 21, who lives at the house where the shooting happened, said he, his sister and a close friend were hanging out on the front porch with the four victims Saturday morning. Wright went inside the house to get his girlfriend some ice water and as he was walking out, he heard multiple gunshots.
